The Southern State Fly drive covers Tennessee, Alabama, Florida and Louisiana to demonstrate the real flavours of the South from music and cuisine to the culture.

Full Itinerary -  Southern States america Fly Drive

Day 1 Arrive New Orleans

Depart the UK on your chosen scheduled flights to New Orleans Upon arrival collect your rental car and proceed to you hotel.

Days 2 & 3 New Orleans

Welcome to the " Big Easy "  . Spend the next 2 days exploring the French Quarter, stroll the narrow streets, visit the jazz clubs and experience the Creole and Cajun cooking at its best. Ride the famed streetcar named " Desire" walk the historic district and take a paddle wheeler on the Mississippi River. 

Days 4  Point Clear (166 miles) 

This morning's short drive along the coast line brings you to Alabama, a trip down memory lane into relaxation and sophistication. Relax at the fabulous Grand Marriott Resort Golf & Spa  with 2 fabulous outdoor swimming pools and golf courses. 

Days 5 Destin (112 miles)   

Your journey takes you along historic Route 10 into western Florida Panhandle. Skirting along the coast , you may choose to stop in Pensacola before arriving at your beach resort Destin. Spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach or explore more of Florida’s' breath-taking coastline and small towns. 

Day 6 Montgomery (186 miles)

Journeying northwest, today you venture back into Alabama. We suggest you stop at Montroeville, home to Harper lee, author of " To Kill a mocking Bird " before arriving at Montgomery. Whilst in the state capital take a trip to learn all about Martin Luther King by visiting Rosa Parks Museum, tour King Memorial Baptist Church and the Civil Rights Movement

Days 7 & 8 Hoover & Birmingham  (84 miles) 

Just a short journey today through the central region of Alabama to the rolling hills and beautiful scenery of Birmingham's countryside. Sitting in the quaint town of Hoover we suggest you opt to stay ay the Renaissance Ross bridge Golf resort & Spa. Ensure you visit the Civil Rights Institute, Barber Vintage Motorsport museum and The Kelly Ingram Park,

Days 9 & 10 Florence (126 miles)

Your exciting trip continues and today's its to the north top of Alabama. Set in the Tennessee Rover Valley, marmot Shoals has a beautiful setting which has been reflected in the resorts design. Just minutes from the hotel are two Robert Trent Jones Trail golf courses, which attracts players of all levels from across the globe. Whilst in Florence, take a trip to the Alabama Music Hall of fame and WC Handy's Birthplace and Museum.

Days 11 & 12 Nashville (122 miles) 

Crossing the border back into Tennessee, your heading to the home of country music. There is so much to keep you entertained in this city, but you shouldn't miss a trip to the Grand Ole Oprey, The Wildhorse Saloon and The Ryman Auditorium. A paddle-wheeler cruise down the Cumberland River provides an insight into the historic heritage of the waterways and is also great fun.  If you're a shopper the Oprey Mills Mall combines both outlet shopping and boutiques for an enjoyable few hours

Days 13 & 14 Memphis (215 miles)

Switching from country music to the Home of the Blues you end your journey at you begin in Memphis. This is yet another exciting city with lots to do, what ever your interest.  we suggest you include s visit to Mud Island, a unique 52 acres park showcasing America's greatest river The Mississippi, and Memphis Belle , the famed B-17 bomber from world war II.   No visit to Memphis is complete with out a visit to Graceland. See the house, tour the Lisa Marie Air-plane and see the artefacts in the museum including many of Elvis' flamboyant outfits. A visit to Sun Studios where Elvis recorded his early music and an evening or two on Beale street  make an enjoyable end to the day.
