Lower Manhattan and Wall Street a good 20 minutes south of central Manhattan is possibly New York’s most famous address, the historic Battery Park is the point to board an excursion boat to Ellis Island and the Statue of liberty.
Washington DC is one of the most famous cities in the world. Quaint neighbourhoods and grand avenues rub shoulders with impressive architecture and imposing monuments, The Smithsonian Institute being the largest cluster in the world. With so many landmarks a sightseeing tour of Washington has to be on the agenda, tour the white house, wonder at the Washington monument, stroll along the Potomac River or join the locals for a sunset picnic on the Jefferson Memorial.
Chicago has to be one of the world greatest cities. This sophisticated city is located on the South West tip of Lake Michigan creating a city on the water although the amazing sky scrapers are the first thing that strikes you. A trip to the top of Sears Towers provides stunning views across the lake. Chicago has one of the most beautiful lake fronts which is almost entirely devoted to recreation. Enjoy the grace, beauty and fun of a day on the Lake Michigan, the water is clear blue enticing visitors to take a boat trip or hire a boat for themselves and the pavements cafes and bars are inviting. Navy pier has it all from entertainment to rides to restaurants to exhibitions, there is something for everyone and makes a good day trip. Philadelphia remains a fabulous well-kept secret. This scintillating city is the 5th largest city in the nation and one of the oldest in the USA. The heart of Philadelphia is home to some famous landmarks including the impressive City Hall, Reading Terminal Gate and the colourful Friendship gate marks the entrance to Chinatown. Philadelphia makes a great short break destination with plenty to offer including a must visit to the historic waterfront district with its charming courtyards and brick-paved pathways encompassing the stylish Society Hill area.
Boston is a modern metropolis which is rich in history and culture. It has some of the best restaurants, hotels, nightlife and attractions in New England. Boston is very easy to get around. Downtown, you’ll find historic sites around almost every corner many linked by the clever designed walk able Freedom Trail. Explore the thriving harbor, discover the wealthy Beacon Hill area and walk in the footsteps of famous scholars at Harvard University. Boston is also a great sporting city with famous teams such as The Red Sox, so catching a game is recommended. Shopping is an experience in itself! Newbury street is the most exclusive shopping street in New England teeming with arts and craft galleries, jewellery outlets and boutiques. New England brings together the offerings of superb beaches, majestic mountains, crystalline lakes and acres of lush forests that erupt into an explosion of color every autumn. North Carolina & South Carolina offer everything you could possibly wish for a holiday. The coastal area is a paradise of sun, sea and sand with some of the best beaches in the USA.
