Day 1 Arrive Nashville
Depart the UK on your chosen scheduled flights to Nashville Upon arrival collect your rental car and proceed to you hotel.
Days 2 & 3 Nashville
There is so much to keep you entertained in this city, but you shouldn't miss a trip to the Grand Ole Oprey, The Wildhorse Saloon and The Ryman Auditorium. A paddlewheeler cruise down the Cumberland River provides an insight into the historic heritage of the waterways and is also great fun. If you're a shopper the Oprey Mills Mall combines both outlet shopping and boutiques for an enjoyable few hours
Days 4 to 6 Memphis (215 miles)
Switching from country music to the Home of the Blues you end your journey at you begin in Memphis. This is yet another exciting city with lots to do, what ever your interest. we suggest you include s visit to Mud Island, a unique 52 acres park showcasing America's greatest river The Mississippi, and Memphis Belle , the famed B-17 bomber from world war II. No visit to Memphis is complete with out a visit to Graceland. See the house, tour the Lisa Marie Airplane and see the artifacts in the museum including many of Elvis' flamboyant outfits. A visit to Sun Studios where Elvis recorded his early music and an evening or two on Beale street make an enjoyable end to the day.
Day 7 Tupelo (108 miles)
You'll need a full day to experience Tupelo, undoubtedly best known as Elvis birthplace. Visit the Elvis Presley birthplace museum, where you can tour the home. museum memorial chapel, fountain of life and see the story wall. Make sure to stop by the Tupelo hardware store, this timeless gem is where Glady's Presley bought Elvis his first guitar.
Days 8 & 9 Vicksburg (230 miles)
This morning we suggest a stop at The Greenwood Blues museum and Gallery, home to a vast array of Blues memorabilia. Culinary enthusiasts may also choose to visit The Viking Cookery School to learn how to prepare traditional Southern Dishes and delicacies. Next take the scenic drive to Vicksburg, where you will enjoy the next two nights in one of Vickburg's Antebellum homes. Next morning, take a carriage ride to discover Vickburg's many beautiful homes.
Days 10 & 11 Natchez (90 miles)
Get your camera ready as you drive the infamous Natchez trace Parkway, a route established first established by migrating animals, later by native Americans and finally by the French, English and American Explorers. Historic sites enroute will delay your arrival as you stop at The Grand Gulf Military Park, Port Gibson, The Windsor Ruins,Mount Locust Inn, Churchill Hill & Emerald Mount. This is an area rich in history, visit the elegant mansions, enjoy the views of the Mississippi and hospitality of these historic Antelbellum homes
Days 12 to 14 New Orleans (176 miles)
Your exciting trip continues and today's its to the north top of Alabama. Set in the Tennessee Rover Valley, marmot Shoals has a beautiful setting which has been reflected in the resorts design. Just minutes from the hotel are two Robert Trent Jones Trail golf courses, which attracts players of all levels from across the globe. Whilst in Florence, take a trip to the Alabama Music Hall of fame and WC Handy's Birthplace and Museum.
