Full Itinerary - southern Florida Fly Drive  

Days 1 to 4 Miami

You fly directly into Miami where you will spend the first 4 nights of your holiday giving you ample time to enjoy a city that is often referred to as the epicentre of 'cool'. Located on the south-easterly tip of Florida, Miami is best known for its extremely sunny weather, golden beaches, Art Deco character and lively nightlife. Also known as the 'Gateway to the Americas', the 15 miles of glorious beaches make Miami a little different to other large cities, its understandably popular with all ages and attracts a broad spectrum of tourists.

 Days 5 to 9 Naples    

Driving distance 110 miles approximately 2 hours

Collect your rental car from downtown Miami and take a leisurely, and scenic, drive west spending the next 5 nights of your America multi centre holidays in Naples. Naples is a city with all the sophistication of the French Riviera; it’s the crown jewel of Southwest Florida.  Nestled on the sun drenched beaches of the Gulf of Mexico Naples is known for seclusion, world class shopping, dining, challenging golf courses and gateway to The Everglades National Park, the largest sub-tropical wilderness in America where you can take an airboat or hike the crocodile infested wilderness. Boasting one of the nation's best sandboxes and calmest seas, Naples makes a splash with water lovers and re-creationists alike.

Days 10 to 13  Florida Keys   

Driving distance 240 miles approximately 4 ½   hours

Your journey continues along the picturesque coast line, across the Everglades to the Florida Keys and Key Largo where you will spend your first night, this is a beautifully scenic day’s drive with plenty of photo opportunities.

We would recommend you stay the next two nights at Duck Key, its only a 1 hour drive from Key Largo and a good central place for you to spend the next few days exploring  the beauty of the Keys,

Key West is the southernmost city in America; here you can enjoy Florida with a tropical Caribbean Flavour. The journey down through the keys is picture perfect and steeped in history. Walk in the footsteps of Tennessee Williams, Harry Truman or Ernest Hemingway or shop for art and trinket’s in the lovingly restored old wooden pastel coloured buildings adorned in tropical flowers.    The relaxed atmosphere and clear waters of the Keys will encourage you to try all it has to offer, perfect beaches, a vast array of water sports, deep sea fishing and of course the superb collection of restaurants and narrow streets to explore. 

Day 14  Miami to London Heathrow

Driving distance from Duck Key to Miami airport is 100 miles approximately 2 hours 15 minutes

Returning to the causeway and heading towards Miami spend you last day taking a leisurely drive back up through the keys, you will have plenty of opportunities to stop along the route and  visit  the seaside towns before you reluctantly return your rental car and check in for your flight to the UK
